On Wednesday 25, 2009 I was given the chance to go to the Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida to see the Orlando Magic versus the Miami Heat. Seeing that I am not from Orlando and that I have never been to the Amway Arena in the past I did not know what to expect. I was excited to be in the stadium for the Wizards win over the Cavaliers. Coming off of a six game winning streak it was amazing to watch the team rally to beat Lebron James and the Cavaliers. I have been a Pacers fan since my freshman year of college, when I was desperate for any way to connect with my father. Asking Dad about an NBA game the night before was a lot more fun than answering repeated questions about homework I hated and classes I didn’t care about. Of course, it was in the heyday of the Reggie Miller years. That was then, and this is now! I still try to make it to a game at least once each season anyway. After spending four years living thirty minutes south of Atlanta I was finally able to make it to Philips Arena for my first Atlanta Hawks game ever. The fact that my first Atlanta Hawks game was also an NBA Playoff game was just extra icing on the cake. With the NBA Playoffs in full swing, the San Antonio Spurs faced elimination at home in the 5th game of their series with the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks jumped out to an early double-digit lead but the Spurs rallied to cut to four by halftime. Unfortunately the aging and injured Spurs came up short, losing the game and series. So far the games are looking good for the Denver Nuggets. They are in the lead 2-0 against the New Orleans Hornets. That’s right, things are just getting started and the Nuggets have already had two huge wins! This is the first time since 1985 that they have had a 2-0 lead.
