The town of Avondale, Arizona, is a quiet little town just west of Phoenix. It’s filled with farmland, middle class suburban homes, and the occasional fine dining. It’s a very diverse town that doesn’t see much action. But twice a year, this town is overrun by the rich smell of octane, the smoke from burning rubber, and the metal-to-metal contact of high performance NASCAR race cars tearing up the asphalt at Phoenix International Raceway. Hello!

Let’s talk about Brooklyn! No, no I don’t mean Brooklyn, New York. I recently visited this cute little town located in the Irish Hills of Michigan. When I say little, I really mean little. We are talking about less than 2,000 residents. While it may be small, it’s really a gorgeous place. Rolling-green hills and 3 nearby lakes make it a great vacation place. Not only is Brooklyn, Michigan great for taking a break, but it’s also known for one of the fastest NASCAR tracks, Michigan International Speedway. Read the rest of this entry »

Pocono Raceway is famous for being one of the most challenging and thrilling NASCAR tracks ever. The Pennsylvania 500 and Pocono 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup races will both be held at Pocono Raceway. Another trip to the beautiful south brings us to “The Holy Grail of Motorsports”. At first glance, this track looks like a football field, but it’s anything but that. You’ll usually find a high energy 43 car race going on.
