Born a Midwesterner, she has worked in social work, taught college, and focused on non profit grant writing until she tried my hand at teaching junior high and high school English. Maggie is also a blogger, a bibliophile, and a fan of all things concert and theater related. After a stint of living in a true ranch town in Western US where she branded cows and rode horses, she came back to the Midwest and city life. Her other pursuits include quilting, watching films, listening to music, writing, and drinking way too much coffee!

Conseco Fieldhouse was built to be the home of the Indiana Pacers. And in Indiana, “Hoosier Hysteria” is not just an expression, but a way of life. Conseco Fieldhouse is more than just a basketball palace, but it can be a place to see a concert. Green Day, a punk rock band that’s been around since the late 80’s, rocked the house with their music, their amazing stage presence and a show that blew the doors of the United Center off on Monday, July 13, 2009. I have never seen a band put on such an energetic and powerful show for so long. After a 2 hour performance, Green Day reclaimed the stage to continue jamming for a 40 minute encore. Thanks to RazorGator, I was able to get some Green Day tickets for the concert at United Center. It was a very fun night for everyone. Read the rest of this entry »
