NBA is all everyone is talking about so I’m gonna jump on the bandwagon too today. With one of the toughest defenses in this conference the Houston Rockets are taking the lead over the Portland Trailblazers. Houston is currently leading 3-2! Who knows how the next game will go, that’s just another part of the NBA excitement! For those of you looking to really get into the action, I have some tips about the Houston area & the Toyota Center.
Toyota Center Details
Toyota Center
1510 Polk Street
Houston, Texas 77002
Phone: (713) 758-7315
As I’m sure you guessed, the Toyota Center is named after Japanese car manufacturer Toyota. Toyota paid $100 million dollars just to put their name on this building! The Arena can hold anywhere from 18,300 to 19,300 people depending on the type of event.
The Houston Rockets have called this arena home since back in 2003. The Houston Rockets were established back in 1967 but at that time they played for San Diego. After about four years the team was moved to its current home of Houston, Texas. For 28 years the Rockets played at The Summit, or Compaq Center as it’s known to some.
