Hey guys!

I’m extra excited to bring you today’s review because it features one of my all-time favorite places. We’ll be talking about the best of Vegas today, which includes a little NASCAR for you racing fans. I’ll be going over some tips for both the Speedway and the Las Vegas strip for those of you making a little vacation out of your next race weekend.

Las Vegas Motor Speedway Information
Las Vegas Motor Speedway
7000 Las Vegas Blvd. North
Las Vegas, NV 89115

Google Maps – Las Vegas Speedway

Las Vegas Motor Speedway is located in Clark Country, Nevada which is just outside of Vegas. This speedway contains multiple tracks on just over 1,000 acres. This “Diamond in the Desert” is not only used for NASCAR races but local drag races as well. The drag strip is open to locals every other Friday night for Midnight Mayhem. I think this is awesome; it’s great that they are using a positive way to reduce drag racing on the public streets. Kudos for keeping everyone safer! Another notable mark for LVMS is that it has been selected as the location for Indy racing in the past.

Las Vegas Motor Speedway Directions: Getting In and Out
As with any event, I urge early arrival and the use of alternative routes. Which seems like an even better idea now that we are talking about Vegas. Everyone knows how congested this place gets.

From The Strip:
Follow I-15 North to Exit 54 (Speedway Blvd.). Speedway is about 12 miles north of downtown Las Vegas.

From Utah and areas North:
Follow I-15 South to Exit 54 (Speedway Blvd.)

Ah, yes…it’s time to fight the crowd and find a way out. Isn’t that always half the fun of attending? Trying to get out may take some time and patience but LVMS has put together some helpful information to make everything go smoothly. Visit the Las Vegas Motor Speedway directions page for more information.

As with most events, there are plenty of options for parking. You will find the list of parking lots on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway parking page.

LVMS Speedway Policies
With fun comes responsibility, so you know we always have to cover the rules. Please visit the Las Vegas Motor Speedway FAQ’s page for more info.

Choosing Your Seats at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
When it comes to enjoying an event, seats are very important! You want to get the most out of your money, right? Good, so read on.

If you want to get a good view of all the action, take a look at upper rows 28-48. Expect a better vantage point to see the whole track in these high sections. This area also offers easier access to restrooms & concessions. Keep in mind section 4 will be more expensive.

Next we have the White Band area. In these mid rows, (11-27) expect a great view. These seats are probably the best deal at LVMS. These will be cheaper without losing that view. If you’re sitting in the White Band, the concourse and walkway will be right behind you.

Lastly we have the Red Band. This would be rows 1-10. Now, usually seats in the lower section aren’t too popular. However these seats aren’t too bad at all! If you are trying to watch your spending, check into section 1, 2 or 3. Please remember that you’ll be in close proximity to the media center which might intrude on your view. Another thing to remember, the restrooms and concession areas are quite a hike from this area.

Camping at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Pack up the gang and head out because camping is permitted! There are 7 camping spots at LVMS, some offering Tram service to the track. For maps of the areas and RV policies visit the Las Vegas Motor Speedway camping information page.

Its Vegas, baby! Let’s have some fun!
While there is absolutely no way I can list everything that needs to be done in this sinful city, I will list a few to get you going. Once you hit town, grab one of those little “things to do” booklets. Most hotels carry these complimentary information packs. There are pages, inserts and leaflets packed full of neat stuff.

Cirque du Soleil – KA | MGM Grand Hotel & Casino
There are a quite a few Cirque shows going on in town at any given time, so browse your choices! KA is a favorite for me. The characters are amazing and everyone, including the ushers, will be in character. The stage is fabulous and the pyrotechnics will warm your surprised faces as you watch the show play out.

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum | 3377 Las Vegas Blvd S Las Vegas, NV 89109
This is a fun little place to visit. It’s a great way to “see” your favorite stars! All of the statues are very life-like and the entire museum is interactive. Taking pictures with the statues is allowed and encouraged. This is a great place to take the family.

Fat Tuesday’s | The Strip
Do you like Margaritas? Even if your answer is no, go here! At least try a drink. This is my Vegas drink spot. It’s a wonderful thing to be able to walk the strip with a giant drink. Try the DeKuyper Peachtree Bellini mixed with Strawberry Daiquiri, you will not be disappointed! There are 5 locations on the strip so check the website for one close to your hotel.

Las Vegas Hotels
There are so many options for Las Vegas hotels it’s hard to pick just a few good ones. For this, let’s just stick to the best deals on the strip. You also have the option of staying off the strip or Downtown.

Monte Carlo | Monte Carlo | 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South Las Vegas, NV 89109
This hotel is very nice and the prices aren’t bad. If you’re lucky, you’ll be booking during a special. I’ve stayed here for as little as $50 a night and that is awesome for a place on the strip.

The Luxor | 3900 Las Vegas Blvd. South Las Vegas, NV 89119
Although it’s at the end of the strip, it’s still a great hotel. Just about everything follows the Egyptian theme. I would suggest rooms in the Towers as those are newer, and more up to date. The check-in line can be off-putting but the place is nice. There is an IMAX theater, plenty of food and it’s connected to two other hotels via TRAM.

Ok, so I know this was a long one but Vegas is a big city to cover, even at a glance! Next time you’re looking for Las Vegas Motor Speedway tickets or Las Vegas show tickets visit our partner, RazorGator.
